Case Study
Rhino Conservation Bond
The Rhino Conservation Bond is a pioneering conservation finance instrument designed to mobilise private capital for biodiversity protection while delivering measurable, performance-based outcomes. Launched in 2022 as a five-year US$150 million Wildlife Conservation Bond, the initiative links investor returns directly to the growth rate of endangered black rhino populations in South Africa.
TyzackLabs was appointed in 2018 to lead the design and development of the analytical web application underpinning the bond’s performance measurement. The platform provides the quantitative backbone required to assess population change, validate outcomes, and support transparent, defensible impact-linked payouts to investors.
This project exemplifies one of TyzackLabs’ core strengths: building technically rigorous, real-world software systems that sit at the intersection of data science, environmental impact, and decision-making under uncertainty.

Case Study
Shingles Vaccine
TyzackLabs, in collaboration with IPSOS, led a global, multi-methodology programme of research to support the launch of a refreshed consumer campaign for a recombinant shingles vaccine, uncovering the key strategic insight used to inform key messaging and creative campaign design. Working across both qualitative and quantitative research streams, TyzackLabs designed and executed a number of studies with healthcare professionals and relevant patient segments to understand perceptions of shingles risk, vaccine awareness, and decision-making drivers. The work integrated behavioural science principles and advanced communications frameworks to translate complex clinical evidence into a clear, compelling narrative aligned with real-world vaccine behaviours and uptake.

Next-Generation Digital MRV Application
TyzackLabs led the end-to-end design, architecture, and development of uKweli and Kutuma, two mission-critical digital platforms built for Natural State (www.naturalstate.org) in close collaboration with Deloitte (France). Conceived to support large-scale conservation, sustainability, and impact programmes, the applications combine rigorous data science, secure cloud-native engineering, and user-centric design. uKweli delivers robust analytics, monitoring, and reporting capabilities for evidence-based decision-making, while Kutuma provides secure, verifiable data ingestion with strong provenance and integrity controls. Together, these platforms reflect TyzackLabs’ ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives and translate advanced quantitative and digital solutions into real-world environmental and social impact.
Case Study
Chikungunya Vaccine
In collaboration with IPSOS, TyzackLabs led brand launch research activities for a Chikungunya vaccine, supporting the development of both unbranded (disease awareness) and branded strategic communications. The work focused on translating epidemiological risk, disease burden, and prevention value into compelling narratives tailored to healthcare and public-health audiences. Employing a mix of behavioural science principles, neuro-linguistic programming rules and communication guidelines, TyzackLabs helped identify and refine the optimal brand positioning which informed all further brand communications. Furthermore, TyzackLabs tested and helped guide development of the launch creative campaigns.

Two-drug, Single Tablet HIV Treatment
TyzackLabs partnered with IPSOS to help support refreshed communications for an oral HIV drug. The work focused on identifying the heuristics driving behaviour, and uncovering how to disrupt habitual prescribing for the key competitor. Key research projects included creative campaign development, core message and visual aid testing. Through structured testing, TyzackLabs assessed message clarity, emotional resonance, and credibility with healthcare audiences, ensuring that communications aligned with clinical evidence while supporting brand differentiation
